Monique Pelloux, a Mexican national, joined the Inspection Panel team as Senior Program Assistant in June 2025. With over two decades of experience at the World Bank, Monique brings a wealth of operational and administrative expertise to her current role.

Monique began her World Bank career as a Program Assistant in the Mexico Country Office in 2003, where she supported the Environment team and contributed to the successful implementation of environmental initiatives. She transitioned to World Bank headquarters in Washington DC in 2007, where she held key positions with the Regional IT team and the Development Effectiveness (Safeguards) teams for the Latin America and Caribbean region. In these roles, Monique provided comprehensive operational support, and served as a transaction specialist, demonstrating her versatility and attention to detail.

In 2013, Monique joined the Subnational Business Ready team, where she further expanded her expertise in portfolio management, budgeting, policies and procedures, project and task management, and trust funds reporting and processing. Her work in this area strengthened her skills in managing complex portfolios and supporting the Bank’s operational effectiveness.

Beyond her operational roles, Monique has contributed to the Internal Justice System in the World Bank, serving as a Respectful Workplace Advisor in the LAC region and later as a Staff Association Volunteer Counselor. In these capacities, she supported colleagues in addressing workplace concerns and navigating the Internal Justice System, underscoring her commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Monique holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and has pursued additional studies in Business Administration. She is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French.
